What are you looking forward to?

As 2020 comes to a close, a year none of us will likely forget, many will return to the practice of looking back over the year and planning for the year to come.

For myself there are many things that I’m looking forward to and planning, most are not gaming related, however I’m just hoping to get back to the gaming table this year.

The pandemic has created a challenge for the group I gather with as we’ve shifted our gaming to Magic the Gathering instead of the traditional table-top RPGs that we played for so many years (my group started roughly 20 years ago) which is extremely difficult to play and enjoy when we’re not at the same table. We starting to look at possible solutions for this, however, there’s a part of me that wants to return to the RPG – the world building, character development, and all the things I enjoyed from those moments.

So for me, 2021 is my return to the fold. I’m not sure if my group will follow me, or if I’ll be enjoying the company of a new group of gamers, but it’s time to dust off those old gaming muscles, cradle a d20 the in palm of my hand, and see what lies in the dark.
