A July Doubleheader – RPG Blog Carnival

I owe both of our July hosts an apology.
Through a scheduling mix-up on my end, I managed to approve two hosts for the same month. That’s on me, and I’m sorry to both Seed of Worlds and Sea of Stars for the confusion. I can only assume Loki had a hand in it.
The silver lining is that this month’s theme – Small Gods, Saints, and Other Minor Divinities – is rich enough that two hosts running with it only means more starting points for the conversation.
Seed of Worlds kicks things off with a focus on those hyper-local, niche deities – the forgotten gods of a particular valley, river, or ruin, the ones with just enough belief behind them to still have a pulse.
Sea of Stars takes a wider view, bringing saints, martyrs, and minor cosmic entities into the mix alongside the small gods – the full range of divine minor leaguers that populate a well-built world.
Go read both kickoff posts and see what sparks something. If you’ve got a tiny deity kept alive by a single village’s belief, a local saint with a peculiar miracle to their name, or a corner of your homebrew pantheon you’ve been meaning to put to paper – this is the month. Drop your links in the comments at both host posts so the community can find you. And if you want to know more about how the Carnival works, or you’re thinking about hosting a future month, head over to the RPG Blog Carnival hub for the full rundown.
May your dice roll well.
