Welcome to the Witch’s Brew

RPG Blog Carnival
October 31, 2020July 10, 2021

For this month’s RPG Blog Carnival we’re visiting the Bazaar of the Bizarre where there are all manner of things, and tucked away a few rows off the main concourse you’ll find The Witch’s Brew.

The Witch’s Brew is unlike the typical open air stalls that surround it, the proprietor opted to erect a small pavilion. The outside seems to be a midnight blue with silver trim, but not all can agree on that, as for some it seems to be black, and some swear it is the deep red color of blood.

Upon entering it appears to be larger than the outside would make you believe. There are several racks of shelves displaying all manner of bottles, large and small, round, square, and some that are of high quality crystal. They are filled with liquids that run the full gambit of colors as well as odors from foul to those that could make the most foul creature smell pleasant to be around.

At the back of the space, you’ll find Salene at her work table, surround with all manners of plants, ground powders, and containers of liquids. Salene, like the the pavilion, seems to change appearances based on who is looking in here direction. For many she’s a young woman, with sultry eyes that seem to hold an amount of knowledge and wisdom that far surpasses the age she appears to be. To others she’s a gnarled old woman with a foul temper, and there are still others that swear Salene is an elvish magician who is mute and only works with those that write down what they wish.

It is said that regardless of what you might need for an elixir, Salene is the one to talk to.

That is, unless you just want a drink to refresh yourself with. I hear there’s an ale vendor a dozen stalls down who can sell you that.

May your dice roll well.

Don’t forget to check out the RPGBA Carnival home site right here at of Dice and Dragons with links to all the past carnivals for you to enjoy. There’s a lot of great stuff there.
