October 2020 RPG Blog Carnival – Welcome to the Bazaar of the Bizarre!
It’s October and that means the the RPG Blog Carnival returns to its usual haunting grounds here at of Dice and Dragons. If you haven’t guessed yet, this year we’re going to take a different path and explore something not related to the Halloween holiday and delve into the Bazaar!
The Bazaar of the Bizarre is nearly a staple in many games, it’s a place where the characters can go to buy all sorts of things, from the mundane to anything that could be imagined. It’s also something that can fit into any world or setting with just a few tweaks.
The Bazaar just isn’t for shopping either, it can be the source of information and rumors, a source of income for an enterprising group, and of course a place ripe for encounters!
So this month, get those creative juices flowing and share something, or someone, you might find at the bazaar. You could create a vendor’s stall, come up with a street performer, the possibilities are endless! Just be sure that you include enough details so that one of your fellow gamers can use or adapt it for their campaign – it’s all about sharing.
Once you’ve got your post up, come back here and share a link in the comments so that others can find it and so you’ll be included in the wrap up post that will come out in November.
Don’t forget to check out the RPGBA Carnival home site right here at of Dice and Dragons with links to all the past carnivals for you to enjoy. There’s a lot of great stuff there.
And be sure to keep a close eye on your wallet, I hear there may be a pickpocket or two about.
May your dice roll well!
I finally finished… I wanted to make my entry October-worthy but still on topic. A fantasy horror 80s TV show gave me some ideas to accomplish that.
