About of Dice and Dragons
Hail and well met!
I’m Scot Newbury and I’ve been playing various role-playing games for some time.
How long you ask? I started back in the days when D&D and AD&D were two different systems and about the only two games around. I still remember that fateful Christmas morning when I opened the Basic Box set, and how I spent far too many hours pouring over the books that were inside. I recall moving through the Expert system and then bought that first hardcover book (The Players Handbook) – after all Advanced D&D is just a progression from D&D right?
I won’t bore you with all the details but that started my education in gaming and I’ve had a chance to play in more games and game systems than I care to count – from fantasy to science-fiction and everywhere in-between. It’s been a fun start to the journey.
So why create this site? It’s simple really. After 30+ years of gaming from both sides of the screen where I’ve played in good games and in bad ones, ran some memorable sessions and campaigns and others I’d really like to forget, I want to pass that knowledge along to you, my fellow gamers and hopefully I’ll get better at the trade myself in process.
Please feel free to comment on any of the posts, let me know your opinion and share your experience – it’ll help everyone in the long run.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look and I hope to see you again soon.
May your dice roll well.
